MARAMURES
- If someone would like a turn back in time, hundred years ago, it is not enough to close the eyes and dream, but so simple could buy a ticket to Romania and visit Maramures. The time “frozen” few centuries ago can expres details and images lost for the rest of the modern world dominated by steel and glass.
- A wooden church made from a single tree 700 years ago is a common think in Maramures, that is kept with conservation for the next generation.
- A trip to Mara, Iza or Cosau Valley, will rest for ever in memory as a unique think, broken parts of history given through the famous wooden sculpted gates, also through hundred years old houses covered by shingle, museums everywhere, wooden, churches that scrape the sky, old mise people who stubbon to wear modern clothes, all this thinks could be the motivation to reccomand Maramures region as a touristic destination we include in our favorite tours, enclosed by Bucovina and the Danube Delta.
- Amoung the most important touristic objectives, we can mention the church from Ieud, Bogdan Voda, Botiza, Poiana Izei, Barsana, Valea Marei, the joyful cemetry from Sapanta etc.
The most limited tour of the region could last for three-four days.
